Short answer
In short: After a membrane canopy is damaged, the usual steps are a photo assessment, an on-site re-measure, and a decision on patching, re-covering or structural repair. Qingsong repairs membrane structures built by other companies, including columns or beams bent by vehicle impact, wind and snow damage, aged or torn fabric, leaks and ponding, and rusted steel. Photo-based quotes are estimates; the written quote after the site survey prevails. We are responsible only for the parts and work we repair; existing defects elsewhere in the original structure do not transfer to us.

When repairing a structure someone else built, boundaries need to be clear from the start. These items are confirmed in the quotation and repair contract.

Repair notes and disclaimer
- Quotes from photos or video are estimates; the written quote after the site survey prevails.
- We are responsible only for the parts and work we repair. Existing defects elsewhere, and problems from the original design or construction, do not transfer to us.
- Assessments are based on visible conditions. Hidden issues such as foundation or embed corrosion can only be confirmed once opened up; if found, we discuss before adjusting the scheme and cost.
- Badly deformed or unsafe structures should be taken out of use first. Where safe repair is not possible, we may recommend rebuilding or decline the repair.
- New and old fabric or coatings may differ in colour and sheen. Repair warranty period and scope follow the repair contract.

Can a canopy hit by a vehicle be repaired?
Usually, by replacing or straightening bent columns or beams and patching or replacing torn fabric. Damaged foundations or severe deformation need a safety assessment first.
Should a wind-damaged canopy be repaired or rebuilt?
It depends on the damage. Local tears or a few bent members can usually be repaired; if the main structure is badly deformed or leaning, repair may be neither economical nor safe.
Can we replace only the fabric and keep the steel?
Yes, if the steel is in good condition. We re-measure on site and check that the original connections suit the new fabric.
What if we have no original drawings?
We re-measure on site and make the new fabric or parts to the measured dimensions.
Is there a warranty on repairs?
The repair contract sets the warranty period and scope for repaired parts; unrepaired parts of the original structure are not covered.
Can you provide documents for an insurance claim?
Yes, on request: the repair quotation, before-and-after photos and repair records. The insurer or responsible party decides the claim; we do not handle claims.
