Consider the canopy along the walking route
On sloping sites, a canopy affects both distant views and the clearance and sightlines of people using the steps. Review approaches from the entrance and in both walking directions. Check columns and membrane edges against paths, railings and tree crowns.
Appearance alone cannot establish foundations or drainage
Plan foundation locations, surface-water routes and material delivery together. Provide terrain information and access conditions. A hillside project should not inherit a flat-site carport foundation or construction method merely because the plan areas are similar.
