FORM & FUNCTION

What this form means

The square-tube form is also a one-sided cantilever, expressed with square hollow sections. Its flat faces and corners change beam, cross-member and membrane-clamp connections compared with round tube. A similar outline does not mean an identical fabrication list.

SITE FIT

Where it fits

Single-row sites with foundations along one edge and a frame language that fits neighbouring square-section elements.

DESIGN CHECKS

What to check in design

Review how the square tube is bent or segmented, its wall thickness, welds, corrosion protection and membrane edge clamps. Keep bases clear of door swings.

COMPARE OPTIONS

How it differs from neighbours

Round and square tubes differ in section and joint details, not just finish. The beam and rear projection also differ from the T-shaped form.

QUESTION & ANSWER

A common planning question

Does a square-tube frame require a straight roof?

No. This reference form uses a curved main beam. Fabrication capacity, splice positions and membrane curvature must be set by the manufacturer and design drawings.
