When placing a canopy over EV chargers, specify whether it should shelter equipment, vehicles or the driver's operating area. These areas differ and should be established from the equipment layout and use.
Locate the charging operation first
Check connectors, screens and standing areas against canopy edges. Coordinate runoff with the ground around equipment rather than ending the design check once the charger has overhead cover.

- Are runoff points close to equipment or operating areas?
