Planning a membrane parking shelter
A parking plan showing existing conditions is useful when preparing a canopy proposal. Mark bays alongside lanes, trees and equipment that must remain clear, rather than supplying site length and width alone.

Draw the coverage and clear zones first
A canopy need not cover the entire car park. Identify priority bays and coordinate entrances, turning and pedestrian connections so competing proposals cover the same area.
- Which bays are to be covered?
- Which roads and facilities must remain unchanged?
